Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have considerable tutoring and admissions counseling experience. Over the course of three years, I have worked with 80+ students to strengthen their university applications and build confidence through mock interviews. Drawing on my own personal experience being successfully admitted to several Oxbridge and Ivy League universities (including Cambridge and Harvard) has enabled me to provide practical advice which targets specific things admissions officers and examiners look for.

I also have 150+ hours of online teaching experience, having worked with a wider range of students including IB, A-Level, and GCSE in the UK. My approach to teaching English, History, Politics, and Law has centered around not only teaching content but ensuring that the student has the skills the course is designed to develop. For example, succeeding in English Literature requires not only understanding a text but also being able to write a well-structured and deeply analytical essay. For SAT English, it is even more crucial to have the necessary strategies and skills to quickly read through passages and identify correct answers to multiple-choice questions.
