Tutor’s Teaching Background

  About me! I am detail-oriented , patient, adaptable and have the determination to help students become better. I know how to help young students grasp difficult concepts by breaking it down into simpler parts and providing summary sheets. I make sure the student's basics are good before proceeding to drill the concept with multiple practices. I was a volunteer tutor at Sembawang Family Service Centre (Student Care Center) in 2023. I focused on coaching primary school students in mathematics and science. I mainly coached students 1-1. Throughout my former education, I've also received the Edusave Award multiple times. I’ve consistently scored As for math throughout secondary school. In JC, I consistently scored above a B for H2 math. I have a strong understanding both jc and secondary school maths. Results/ Current students Currently, I have 2 O level Emath/Amath students. Both showed improvement within a few months of lesson. With one jumping from F9 to B3 within a few months. Additionally, I have 1 NA sec 4 student. She has gone from borderline passing to now consistently scoring a 1 for mock exams.  I believe that every student has the potential to do well in math if there is someone to explain and connect different concepts well. I aim to be that tutor for students. My students’ improvements are a testament of my commitment to them.
