Tutor’s Teaching Background

I’m female, a full time tutor and have graduated from NTU with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology. I have taught P3 Eng/ Maths, P4 Eng/ Maths, P5 Maths, P5 Higher Chinese & Chinese, P6 Higher Chinese & Chinese before. I have experience tutoring via zoom online as I have been tutoring some of my students online for 1-2 years. In particular, I have been tutoring one of my students since P5 for Chinese & Higher Chinese via zoom online and I am currently tutoring her for Sec 1 Higher Chinese (online) . Currently, I am also tutoring K2 & P1 Eng, Maths & Chi. I am opening up new slots as 3 of my students just completed their PSLE (2 via zoom online, 1 face to face) last year. I am patient, friendly and approachable. I will use 词语手册, assessment books, past year exams papers, coupled with my materials for my lesson. I will identify the areas in which the student is weak in and work on those areas. I will also adjust my teaching materials and pace accordingly, depending on the progress of the student. For online zoom lesson, I’ll usually flash a copy for the student to follow as I teach. I’ll also require the student to send me his/ her hw before lesson, so I can mark and flash to go through with them during lesson. I’ve achieved top in my cohort for Higher Chinese in Sec 3 and Sec 4. Having been through the education system in Singapore, I am able to provide tips to studying Chinese for my students. With my guidance, I believe the student will improve and excel in the subject.
