Tutor’s Teaching Background

Currently, I am tutoring a P3 boy for Mathematics, and he has significantly improved his grades just over 2 months. I personally do up mindmap overviews and easily comprehensible notes for each chapter of Math/Science subjects. This allows me to help me and the student dissect complex concepts. I also come up with special acronyms to help make memorising concepts much easier and fun. For English subjects, I often go through grammar rules that we would be focusing on at the start of the lesson, then do practical exercises (both assessment books and past year exam papers) to ensure students would understand how to use them in real-life. I will also introduce new vocabularies each week. I am strongly passionate about sharing my knowledge and study methods on how to excel examinations and tests. I hope to instill the idea that it is not difficult to score well as long as the right technique is taught and there is a little motivations - which I can offer. I used to be a student who dislikes studying, but once I found the appropriate studying methods, studying became a lot more enjoyable as it is a chance for me to expand my horizon, and I hope I can help students realise that too!
