Tutor’s Teaching Background

I had the opportunity to volunteer as a mentor and tutor for primary school students from lower-income families for approximately 9 months with SBL Vision Family Service Centre. Academically, I taught Primary English, Mathematics and Science, assisted them with their homework, and explained, clarified, and revised concepts they lacked foundational understanding of or needed reiteration on. This was achieved through interactive learning activities, videos, practice worksheets, and revision papers based on the MOE syllabus. Additionally, I contributed to their overall growth in terms of character by establishing trust and ensuring that they were motivated to continuously learn and improve.
