Secondary 1/ Secondary 2 Art
- Cultivate a basic sense of aesthetic skill and appreciation, such as color sense, foreshortening, toning and shading, directional lighting, and organic/inorganic forms.
- Build a solid foundation in many mediums, such as pencil drawing, sketching and painting.
- Provide tuition and guidance to all those who are in the hands of school art assignment students.
GCE O/ N-Levels
Students of this level will typically have their basic aesthetic skill and appreciation secured, tutors would have to instill such skills and techniques before moving on to the more pertinent portfolio-building for their Studio Practice component.
There are also 2 optional components, which the students have to take in addition to research for O levels, which is either the Study of Visual Arts (2 hours written paper), or Drawing and Painting (drawing paper with 3 weeks’ worth before 3 hours exam). For N Level students, they have only the option of Drawing and Painting.
The Mentorship of the student’s art course for his studio practice component. This includes:
- Crafting of initial ideas and direction of the piece based on the topic chosen
- Development of ideas and brainstorming
- Provide guidance for student’s preparatory boards for coursework.
- Oversee the development of the final piece for coursework.
- Teach the relevant writing skills, visual and aesthetic literacy, as well as the content required for the Study of Visual Arts paper. (SOVA)
- Help in the presentation and ideas for drawing and painting paper
GCE A-Levels H1
Students of H1 art, unlike H2 students, take only 3 hours of long theory paper which is called Study of Visual Arts. (SOVA) There is no drawing or coursework component in the course. If the student wants to improve his or her drawing skills and aesthetic fundamentals, additional fees may apply depending on the Art tutor. Teaching the relevant writing skills, visual and aesthetic literacy, as well as content required for the Study of Visual Arts paper. (SOVA)
GCE A-Levels H2
Mentorship of Student’s Art coursework for their Studio Practice component. This includes:
