Tutor’s Teaching Background

1-1 Teaching for 1 year. Took 2 students: 1 Sec 4 A+E math, 1 Sec 3 IP Physics, both improved significantly (F9 to A2, D7 to B3) 90RP (perfect score) at A levels in 2021. Graduated from HCI as one of the top 16 students of the cohort. I can be of great guidance to the student having walked the same path. I have had experience in private tuition, tutoring a Sec 4 O level (E and A Math) student and a Sec 3 IP (Physics) student. Both students showed tremendous improvement, and I attribute it to the attention I give to my students. I make myself available to them on Whatsapp at any day of the week, and I encourage students to keep asking questions, whether it be from their own revision or school work that they lack understanding of. I am approachable and understanding, and my students have benefitted greatly from this. Having achieved a perfect score on my A Levels, you can be assured that I fully understand the requirements of the academic syllabus in Singapore. On top of that, I place a heavy emphasis on discipline, hard work and smart work. In mathematics, I teach students to identify the question types before attempting any working. In connecting the dots within their head, students are able to actively recall the relevant equations and standard steps to tackle questions. I am a dedicated tutor that is approachable, but takes education very seriously. I am committed to improving the grades of students who are in need of them.
