Tutor’s Teaching Background

I was a private violin tutor in the USA before I returned to Singapore to continue my studies at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I have been playing the violin since I was 5 and learned under notable teachers such as Barbara Barber, Geoffrey Herd, Gina Dyches, and more. I have trained intensely under the Suzuki method and have since branched out to advanced repertoire equivalent to about grade 8 on the ABRSM after 2016. Previously in the USA, I participated in statewide competitions such as all-state and earned the area distinction. I have also placed in the top 20 for a selective competition called region whilst attaining full scores for solo and ensemble. In Polytechnic, I was the soloist as well as principal violinist in my school's string ensemble cca. I hope to impart what knowledge I have gained in my years of playing to others.
