Tutor’s Teaching Background

Qualifications & Results: - PSLE: A for all subjects - O-Level: E&A Maths A1, English B3 Current Education: - Current NTU Linguistics and Multilingual Studies undergraduate   Tutoring Experiences: - 4 years of tutoring, including 1.5 years at tuition centres (Inhome Eduhub, EduFirst) - Range: From preschool children to secondary school students, inclusive of international students. Proudly assisted some in securing placements in local schools due to competitive Maths scores. - Have also taught phonics to preschoolers before.   Teaching Approach: Generally, I am able to remind students to do revision and homework, able to break concepts into simpler terms for Maths, have worksheets and interactive activities provided for English. Prefer to use student’s materials to reinforce teaching in school but will also supply with own worksheets, especially for Science.   Able to update parents on progress upon request and discuss how to improve the student’s grades together. Will inform if student is more suited for another teacher. Sometimes I it is recommended to buy books from popular eg assessment book or reading material, so I will suggest accordingly.   Track Records: - Scored A for P2 and P3 Mathematics (AEIS) - Helped students score 25 and above (out of 30) for English O level composition and oral.  - Most dedicated students achieve at least a grade improvement under my guidance.
