Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am an ex-MOE teacher with 15 years of experience teaching in upper primary Mathematics and Science and 5 years of experience as a private tutor. I am well-versed and updated with the current MOE syllabus. I am flexible in my teaching style and customize my lessons and teaching materials to cater to the learning needs of my students. I employ a diagnostic approach in my teaching and impart examination strategies and answering techniques that have proven to help my students improve their results. While I was with MOE, I supervised trainee teachers from NIE during their 10-week practicum. I was also a teacher mentor to beginning teachers who were newly posted to the school. I was involved in a few school and cluster projects that aim to enhance the learning of Mathematics. One of the projects was presented at the West-zone cluster as a best practice guide for other primary schools. I have 15 years of experience marking the PSLE Mathematics and Science paper and I am familiar with the marking scheme.
